THE CONTENT OF OUR TOURS

The programs we organize and lead have been carefully prepared for the uttermost experience. We are proud to include different cultural and art adventures, immersive creative workshops, passionate expert talks, socializing with artists and intellectuals, visits to wealthy locals in their fantastic homes, etc.

We had selected the best of what each destination has to offer. Usually, the best places are also the most visited, so we work hard to provide our guests with special passes, or private visits.

CULTURAL CAPITALS

Our guests can expect to spend time in cultural capitals where they will obtain creative inspirations and meet interesting people. For a day or so, on our longer (Grand) tours, we like to unwind in a beautiful, remote setting.

HOW WE TRAVEL

We take travel seriously and aspire to travel at an easy pace. We believe in less program and more quality. More leisure time allows our guests to have time for relaxing and enjoying, as well as gives them opportunities to include their private interests.

We visit relevant and beautiful places. We avoid the »must-see« visits per se, but rather take our guests to places that offer a special experience. And when we do visit the well-known sites, we try to do it outside of the public opening hours and away from the crowds, so that our guests can enjoy in privacy and intimacy of the beauty.

HIGH CULTURE AND ART

We are deeply in love with European (or Europe-influenced) high culture and art. Here is a beautiful list of our topics, a small piece of art in itself.

IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCES

We attend different cultural events such as ballroom dancing in Vienna, classical music concerts of the finest orchestras and in the most beautiful of venues, gala ballet performances, private concerts in charming intimate environments, and offer also other authentic adventures, such as a gondola ride in Venice, driving in old American convertible cars in Havana, a horse carriage ride, and more.

MEANINGFUL RELATIONSHIPS

We work for meaningful relationships and love for the people to come together and meet like-minded peers. This is why we add events of meetings with the local people. We organize local culture expert talks events, meetings with local artists, and events of socializing with interesting (creative) people. We write more about our values here.

PASSIONATE EXPERT TALKS

When we decide on an expert talk, we always decide on relevant topics and only include experts who are, not only professional in their knowledge, but also and above all full-hearted, interesting, and devoted to what they do.

CREATIVE HANDS-ON WORKSHOPS ON THE TOURS

A unique and very important part of Elegant Cultural Tours is the creative hands-on workshops that we add to our programs and execute in authentic places. The workshops we include are rooted in the environment we visit, they are led by masters of the art, and prepared with our love and knowledge of pedagogy and art. SPECIAL WORKSHOP TOURS

For our guests who have a big passion and love to develop their skills and spend time doing what they love also while traveling, we are organizing our Workshop tours that focus around a certain passion- at the moment we lead Art photography and Dancing tours in Havana (Cuba), Vienna (Austria) and Ljubljana (Slovenia). B) SIGNATURE GUIDING

Most of our tours are led by the owner of Elegant Cultural Tours, Alja. She is a natural-born tour leader, dedicated to her guests, the programs, and the countries she is leading to with all her heart and soul.

PROFESSIONAL & WARM

Guiding on our tours is always professional, in-depth, and informative. Alja establishes a warm and homey feel on every tour. She shares her deep emotions on culture, art, and creativity and invites the guests to join her in experiencing. Her guiding is never impersonal and academically cold, but rather full-hearted, passionate, and effortlessly in-depth.

PASSIONATE

Alja is a passionate teacher with a pedagogical university education (of Art History teaching and Sociology of Culture) and big love for passing complicated topics and knowledge in a more engaging manner and with more direct contact to life.

BRINGING ART TO LIFE

Our topics cover the contents of high culture and we work hard to bring art to life. We introduce high art in an engaging, and interesting manner, making it feel alive and present. With all the respect and dignity that it deserves, we make the art feel cozy and friendly so that our guests can connect and obtain meanings from it for themselves and their interests.

C) AUTHENTIC LUXURY ACCOMMODATIONS AND TRANSPORTATIONS

We stay at 5-star authentic and elegant hotels on a Bed and Breakfast basis in the center of the cities. At some destinations (Cuba) – we sometimes (especially with our USA guests) use elegant boutique colonial private accommodations (Casa Particulares) on a Bed and Breakfast basis.

With choosing the accommodations we follow our deepest values. Whenever we can, we prefer to choose private, boutique hotels to bigger hotel chains. We feel passionate about people who put their love and effort into their small and beautiful business and we love to contribute to their growth and progress. We strongly believe in contributing.
